Walk to Bethlehem: Our 6,931 mile Walk to Bethlehem has begun and will culminate on Christmas Day! This imaginary trip will be accomplished by logging our walking/exercise miles over a 10-week period. It is never too late to begin! The weekly meditation will be available on the church website, http://www.goodshepherdvancouver.org
How do I sign up and record miles? Click HERE!
Add your name (if it isn’t already there) and start recording miles! For those who don’t have internet access, a log book located in the narthex is provided to sign-up and record weekly miles. Other resources are also be available, including the weekly meditation and individual weekly log sheet.
What if I exercise by swimming, biking or another way? 20 minutes of exercise is the equivalent of 1 mile. For those unable to walk distances we have chair exercise handouts available in the narthex. A pedometer may be also be used to keep track of miles.
What are the benefits of doing this? Become more healthy in mind, body & soul!
Meet people we don’t know! Experience the “gladness of heart” that comes with working towards a common goal as a church community.
