JUNIOR & SENIOR HIGH SUNDAY SCHOOL

Junior and Senior High Sunday School is held between the 9:00 and 11:00 services in the youth building. Our curriculum for Sunday School includes: JOURNEY TO ADULTHOOD and the book EPISCOPAL CURRICULUM FOR YOUTH The youth spend time in the class- room studying the Bible and learn- ing how to apply it to their lives. They also go out into the community to help others in need.

JUNIOR HIGH & SENIOR HIGH YOUTH GROUPS

Junior and Senior High youth meet every Wednesday evening during the school year in the youth building from 7-8:30 p.m. All 6th,7th and 8th graders are invited to attend the Junior High program. Senior High includes 9-12th graders. Each week during the month contains one of the following: community service, discussions,
outings, games Youth leaders design the program to provide an environment in which safety is a priority and friendship among youth evolves out of respect and fellowship. All evenings end with a time for re-flection and prayer.

SENIOR HIGH MISSION TRIP

All youth grades 9-12 who attend youth group and/or Sunday School are invited to be a part of the summer mission trip. Our summer trips have included: Bend, Ore.-Habitat for Humanity, Leavenworth, Wa.-Alpine Boys Ranch, Jackrabbit, Az.-Naomi Home for Abused Native American Children, Youthworks,Inc. Vancouver, B.C. Each experience has been very rewarding
for our youth with memories to last a lifetime. Youth have 3-4 fundraising activities during the year to raise money for the trip.

DIOCESAN YOUTH CONFERENCES

Weekend youth conferences are held 2-3 times during the school year at an Episcopal church within our diocese. The conference runs from Friday evening until 1:00 on Sunday. Youth are divided into small groups during their week- end and spend time examining their faith and how it applies to their life. They have plenty of fun, food and laughter in their special time together. Youth are housed in homes of parishioners at the host church. Transportation is provided by our church. Junior High conferences are open to youth grades 6-9, Senior High grades 9-12.

Good Shepherd youth come from schools in 6-7 different areas of Clark County. Therefore, the program is focused on connectiveness and and team building. Our youth include grades 6(optional) through high school. 
The Sunday School Youth have the opportunity to discover who they are, what they believe, embrace their individuality, discover what it means to be an Episcopalian and how it contributes to their faith journey. Youth group is held on Wedneday evenings and is a time for group activities, community service, games and outings.


OUR MISSION FOR YOUTH:  Every youth will find a connection in the church by being involved in service, worship and/or community. Examples are: youth programs, acolytes, working in the nursery, lectors, music, ushering and greeters.
