Qualities and Hopes for Our Next Rector

On April 29th the Good Shepherd community gathered to discuss essential qualities we desired in our next rector.  Prayerfully considering how we see ourselves and who we hope to become as we had identified earlier in the process, the congregation noted key characteristics our rector must possess.  The following five qualities imbued the four areas we focused on in our discussion: Care for Ourselves, Worship, Resources, and Community Outreach.  It became clear that in order for us to continue to become the people Christ is calling us to be, we must seek a person with the following qualities.

Faithful
Leader
Teacher

In addition to the qualities we desire in our next rector, many areas of focus were also touched-on repeatedly and provide further affirmation of where we are being called as a parish. This information is key to keep at the forefront when choosing our next rector.  Therefore, we also seek someone to catalyze, advocate, and partner with the Good Shepherd community in each of the following areas:
