The Music Ministry of Good Shepherd represents a variety of groups and a wide range of musical styles in which to participate. We believe that we offer something to satisfy virtually all musical appetites and the spiritual needs of people of every age!! Opportunities for adults include participation in the Good Shepherd Choir and in ShepherdSong. Instrumental musicians have opportunities to offer solos, play in ensembles or accompany our various vocal music groups.

Music is an important part of the worship at Good Shepherd.
The Good Shepherd Choir provides traditional music for the 9:00 am Sunday service. ShepherdSong, the Good Shepherd praise band, leads music of a more contemporary nature at 11:05 am. Organ music accompanies traditional hymns at the 7:30 am service.

ShepherdSong is a group of singers and instrumentalists that provides musical leadership of a more contemporary nature for the 11:05 am worship service. The group leads the congregation in 10-12 praise songs, service music, and presents an offertory selection every Sunday. The group rehearses on Monday nights from 6:45-9:15 and on Sunday mornings at 10:00. Childcare is not provided. Good Shepherd Choir is a traditional choir that provides music for the 9:00 am worship service on Sundays. The choir sings a new anthem (from virtually all periods of music) every week for our offertory, leads the congregation in musical psalm settings and hymn singing, and occasionally sings special music for communion. They present an annual Advent Lessons and Carols service and special music during the seasons of Advent, Lent, Easter and Pentecost.

The choir rehearses on Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30 and on Sunday mornings at 8:30 from September until mid-June. Childcare is provided.
