The Good Shepherd Montessori Preschool and Kindergarten is a ministry of the Church of the Good Shepherd which offers extensive programs and ministries to children, youth, and their families.

Our Mission
Our mission is to offer a high quality Christian-based education, which will provide developmental, intellectual, and spiritual guidance to children, grant need-based scholarships to one in four students, and will provide families an atmosphere of trust and Christian love.

Our Philosophy
We believe:
• That each child is created by God and is a unique individual to be treated with dignity and respect.
• That each child has an eagerness to learn according to his or her own individual pattern and timing of growth.

Good Shepherd Montessori offers a developmentally appropriate environment where children have the opportunity to explore the spiritual, academic, emotional, social and physical realities of life and community.

Ages 2½-6, five days per week, or
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, or

Traditionally, Montessori is only offered Monday through Friday and the family commits to attending three consecutive years including full-day Kindergarten. After three years in this rich environment, which including the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd religious education curriculum, a child is prepared for first grade and fuller participation in a faith-filled community.

We’ve discovered that while families were attracted to the Montessori curriculum, the traditional five-day schedule didn’t work for everyone. With the assistance of a Montessori consultant, we added two- and three-day options and have been delighted with the results. After two years in this compressed Montessori environment a child is prepared for public kindergarten and fuller participation in a faith-filled community.
