Easter & Holy Week

Reflect, worship, and rejoice with us this Easter and Holy Week. There are many services for contemplation, prayer, and fellowship throughout the week. We hope you can join us.

Palm Sunday, April 13
8:30 & 11:15 am

The Holy Eucharist with the Palm Sunday Liturgy and Choral Reading of the Passion of Jesus Christ. The service will begin with the Palm Sunday procession. There will be no Sunday school or chapel on this day. The nursery will be open from 8:15-12:45.

Monday in Holy Week, April 14
12 pm

A Contemplative Holy Eucharist. That means there will be fewer words, no sermon, more quiet, and peaceful music.

Tuesday in Holy Week, April 15
12 pm

A Contemplative Holy Eucharist. That means there will be fewer words, no sermon, more quiet, and peaceful music.

Wednesday in Holy Week, April 16
12 pm

A Contemplative Holy Eucharist. That means there will be fewer words, no sermon, more quiet, and peaceful music. This service will include special prayers for healing.

Maundy Thursday, April 17
6 pm

Agape Supper. This simple meal with blessings and readings will remind us of the supper Jesus and his disciples shared before the crucifixion. A sign-up sheet is in the entryway.

7 pm

The Holy Eucharist with a liturgy of foot washing. The Good Shepherd Choir will offer special music. The service ends with the solemn stripping of the altar. The offerings received will be used for the care of the poor in our community Nursery care will be provided.

A Prayer Vigil will last from the end of the Maundy Thursday service through the start of the noon service on Good Friday. A sign-up sheet is on the table in the entryway.

Good Friday, April 18
7 pm

The Good Friday Liturgy will include the reading of the Passion, prayers and Holy Communion from the reserved sacrament. The offerings received will be sent to the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East. Nursery care will be provided.

Easter Eve, April 19
8 pm

The Great Vigil, featuring the first light of Easter, the story of Creation and Redemption, Holy Baptism and the first Holy Communion of Easter. (A small amount of incense will be used at the beginning of this service.) The open offering will be used for the mission of church of the Good Shepherd Nursery care will be provided.

Easter Day, April 20
8:30 am

The Holy Eucharist with music by the Good Shepherd Choir.

11:15 am

The Holy Eucharist with music by ShepherdSong.

There will be no Sunday School or Chapel. The nursery will be open from 8:15 am to 12:45 pm.
