Leadership of a church as diverse as Good Shepherd is both a challenging and fulfilling task. Three members are elected annually to serve a three-year term on the nine member Vestry that is responsible to the congregation for the prayerful leadership of the Church. The Vestry views its role as primarily strategic and relies on the excellent staff and ministry teams manage the day-to-day operations of the Church. This means tat the Vestry focuses its efforts on maintaining a two-way dialog with the congregation so that growth and change necessary to provide for a healthy church in the future are consistent with the leading of the Holy Spirit and the vision, values, faith and resources of the congregation.
This team has responsibility for the stewardship of our physical church. This is a group of men and women who gather for fellowship and service. This small community thus gets to know each other and support each other through times of joy and trial. This team does repairs of the existing building and just about anywhere else the work is needed as well as small scale construction. They take care of our church so that the congregation can enjoy their worship time in a beautiful structure. Handyman experience is he3lpsul, but not required. The Buildings Maintenance team meets Wednesday mornings, from 9 – 12pm.
